THERMAL MANAGEMENT VALVES (TMV)
Due to the evolving emission standards dictated by regulator bodies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), California Air Resources Board (CARB) as well as the European Union (Euro), an increasing demand for Thermal Management Valves (TMV) has emerged in the diesel engine market.
The thermal management valve works in a hot exhaust environment and is an integral part of newly developed exhaust systems designed to meet the latest emission strategies. These valves are used to maintain temperatures over a broader range of operating conditions that include challenges of light duty cycles in off-highway and city applications.
In some applications, TMVs serve a dual purpose of providing an exhaust braking function in addition to their primary roll as an emissions device.
