DIVERTER VALVES

Diverter valves have a variety of uses in managing exhaust gas flow. Common applications include: shared Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and main engine exhaust systems, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) solutions, engine lab test cells, and for noise, thermal, and exhaust gas redirection in special applications such as emergency vehicles and dump truck buckets.

FEATURES & BENEFITS -

  • Shut down or redirect exhaust
  • Off the shelf valves available in 3", 4", 5", 6" and 10” diameters
  • Custom configurations available for any application from OEM equipment to dyno test cells
  • Low leakage
  • High temperature compatibility: 600+ degrees Celsius (1200+ F)
  • Withstand corrosive exhaust gas environments
  • Alternate fuel compliant

DIVERTER VALVES WITH HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS

Diverter valves actuated with a hydraulic cylinder are powered by oil from the engine’s lubrication system or other onboard hydraulic systems. The valve’s robust design is based on proven Pacbrake exhaust brake technology and can be customized to match application specific requirements.

FEATURES & BENEFITS -
  • Self-cooling system while activated
  • Designed for lasting performance in demanding applications with unique combination of rod and piston seals
  • Maintenance free, durable construction made from stainless and aluminum

TESTING -

  • Actuator endurance validated under extreme working conditions
  • Hydraulic cylinders evaluated to maximum axial load for disengage
  • Seal integrity evaluated to 3 times maximum allowed pressure
  • Cylinder was thermal stressed and pressure overloaded
  • Fatigue tested assembly to meet customer requirements
